We been playing AHL for some time now, although were still no good at it. But since we only play at the weekend we never get the chance.

It's a pretty cool mod, supposed to play out like an Action Movie, although in the end it becomes more of a farce.

It's got your usual problems as does any game but its also got some pretty cool ideas, such us bleed outs and stunting, as well as masses of maps and models and weapons.

So ring any bells for anyone?

Is it team based, or deathmatch style?

(welcome to the forums btw :) )

deathmatch - and once the novelty of feeling like you're in a john woo movie wears off it's pretty tame :(

TFC otoh has real staying power

It's both Teamplay, with or without rounds, Last Man Standing and Deathmatch. Usually AHL is played in rounds with Teams. Each level has custom sides, for example 'ahl_astorage' is drug dealers vs police, 'ahl_bananamans' is Lara Croft vs goons.

It's a pretty good laugh, the exploding bloody and guts and the bleeding make it fun, the variety of weapons and game styles makes you use cunning. The only real problem is death with some weapons is too swift. Personally I prefer a drawn out akimbo 1911s firefight rather than being chopped in half instantly with a hand canon.

So yeah, DM and teams and more!
