I got 2 normal IDE cables and 1 floppy cable if anyone is looking for any.

I just brought some nice red rounded ones today so i have some nice old grey ones if anyone wants them.

my point was that anyone reading this forum will most likely have 3 or 4 cables already stashed at home, abd even if they haven't - they aren't that expensive to make it worthwhile "auctioning" them

true, but i don't think i need them unless i build a second machine over summer....

Tbh, people hardly ever need IDE cables though, any motherboard you buy has them already. The only time you are likely to be buying them is if your getting 'special' ones, like the rounded ones.

But presumably this PC will have a motherboard...which will have IDE cables with it... You now see what we mean perhaps? :)

true, but it wont have IDE cables to support 2 hard drives, 2 cd drives.

i see what you mean, i did work in a PC shop building PC's. but if you buy the motherboard OEM it won't have them, would it?
