I finally got 2 see spider-man 2, yesterday and I must say I think that the movie was enjoyable it made me feel like an 8yr old over again. ( and no funny comments from you Gob  ) the movie had more humour and heart that the first one , I however did found Alfred Molina's charactor Doc Ock to be somewhat cartoonish (but what do you expect with a name like that) ,and film did leave me wanting more .

I think its a load of crap.

Just kidding... Not seen it yet and cant wait... :)

I wouldn't have written anything Az :) but seeing as you expected it:
it made me feel like an 8yr old over again

At least you have stopped feeling 8 year olds ;)

As for Doc Oc being cartoonish - hmm now what was the source material again?????

Is it worth seeing Spiderman1 first, or can we jump straight into seeing this one?

14-07-04, 04:16 PM
watch spiderman first cause its good :)

Not seen the second one yet, altho i am going to go see it soon :) but i wouldnt of thought you'd need to watch the first one altho i would think its a good idea

its not that vital to see the 1st one, as Sam Raimi does a good job by bringing you up to date with what happend in the begining as they do a great intro in the begining where they show clips from the 1st one but its all painted by Alex Ross who is a comic book artist, and besides the actual storyline starts from the second one ( the 1st one was just the intro, imo)

Seen it and loved it - and thats saying summat as I thought the 1st was one of the best movies I have ever seen.

Its a real evolution in terms of characters and storyline, and sets the plot lines for the next 2 films. Well worth it and theres a great bit in it with Spidey in a lift - very amusing!

Is it worth seeing Spiderman1 first, or can we jump straight into seeing this one?

Cooper began by digitally scanning dozens of vintage Spider-Man comics and editing them together in a blink-and-you-miss-it five-second montage that encompasses the entire story arc of the first film.

I assume that the 5 second recap is a blink and miss it thing? Anybody?

Hmm - I think if you are a Spidey fan and have seen the 1st film you will recognise the shots of the story on the opening credits. Its well done and not hard to miss....

saw it again today, and I enjoyed it just as much as before, I loved the little musical scence to ''raindrops keep falling on my head''

15-07-04, 03:55 PM

15-07-04, 04:07 PM

I've decided not to watch it myself incase it spoils the film

Finally saw this - just as good if not better that the 1st one. Nice cameos from Spidey creator Stan Lee, Sam Raimi's best mate Bruce Campbell (he was the wrestling announcer in the 1st one and the arsey theatre usher in the 2nd plus the star of the Evil Dead series also directed by Sam Raimi) and Raimi's 1st car an Oldsmobile that has appeared in every film directed by Raimi.

The lift scene is a classic, the CGI a lot better that the 1st and a decent set up for part 3.

I watched this on Wednesday and thought it was pretty good. Unfortunately I can't remember the first one too well, but I think I preffer this one as I don't think I thought all that much of #1.

Umm, 7/10 lets say :)

Saw this on the 16th July, maybe 8/10 again, not that many funny moments though, but liked the bit when spiderman does that flip on the street, then he tells the 2 boys that to do that they need to eat their vegetables, .
