At present we just need to gauge how much interest there might be in us running competition nights at Radicl (http://www.radicl.com/), a local LAN caf

Yes. I can pop down after Uni. Or drive down if there is no uni (is there parking near the place?)

There is parking, but with it's proximity to the tube station and the fact that you won't have take anything (all PCs provided) it is probably much less hassle if you can get there on the Northern Line.

ok cheers wintermute. what is the capacity of the place?

McBain

There will be 15 PC's but we would be able to add a 16th for the competition nights. We would be hoping to get slightly more than this and then rotate people on and off to play through the league schedule.

I would probebly come... The time is a bit early for me to get there. 7:30 or even 8PM would be better.
But I assume that the place close at 9:30?

Count me in! But I've never played CS so you guys have to show me what the fire button is and with which keys I'm supposed to walk.

I live near Canary Wharf. The costs would be to high - travel + gaming fees. Will try tournaments.

McBain

Surely travel and gaming comes to less than a tenner in total? Thats not much for a fun evening and the possibility of winning a prize ;)

The venue normally closes at 7pm, it would be kept open specifically for us. Personally I would prefer a later time too, but I'm not sure it's possible.

I can come down after work. Sounds good to me, but i predict problems occuring if the hw isn't all consistant. I would be interested though for sure, especially if there are some decent deals going on hw :) :?

Hi there swinger. Welcome to the forums. Do you already use Radicl?

At present, I feel the availability is probably not late enough for us to make a go of this :( If anything changes, we would of course post it in here

Its possible to get there by train by 7:30 if I go straight to Aylesbury Train station and you either come straight from work or home at the same time...

And the benefit of a LAN gaming cafe is you don't have to lug a PC with you...

That would be dead easy for me to get to, but I can't do any Friday nights. Ever.

Saturday night or Sunday night would be better for me.

Basically Hot Potatoes, they are every few months. also, note that the next one is 29th JULY not June, and i know that your exams will be finished by then, or atleast you wont be having one on a sunday.
