In addition to our CS:S Server, we now have a TS 2 server -

195.20.109.130:8780

Password: lny2ts2

TS2 can be download for Windows or Linux from here (http://www.goteamspeak.com/downloads.php).

Once downloaded and installed, run TS2 and click 'Connection' -> 'connect'

You should fill the details in so it looks like this -

http://www.lanarchy.co.uk/images/ts2.gif

Then just click connect

There are several different rooms set up already, feel free to just pop in and hang out in 'Chillin' :afro:

You may want TSDisp (http://tsdisp.sourceforge.net/) which is a small application that stays on top of all windows and shows you who is currently talking in TS2

Is there a way you can connect to 2 servers as I hang out on another TS server alot ?

Not that Im aware of...

If you could, and if you think about it, you'd be hearing 2 sets of conversations... It'l not only drive others mad (if you were to talk), but I think you'd be confused too.

Is teamspeak mandatory for your gameserver?

We only use it for non VC games... Such as Battlefield, IL2 & Joint Ops ect... ?

Of course it isn't, it's just there as an optional extra - to help make hte gaming experience more enjoyable. ;)

It will probably be used most for our AoM games :)

Be nice though if folk hang out there... somewhere to go for a chat. :)

What I mean is scoob, if I join your cs server, will you guys be using TS or the ingame VC...

McBain

I would imagine, if we're playing on CS:S, we would use the ingame VC.

Like I say (and like you said I guess) it is more useful for those games that don't have a VC of any kind, like AoM or maybe SWG.

You should join out TS2 server. You then need to get a microphone so you can actually talk to us as well as hear what we're saying.

:?:

ok, random post.

And yes, that is generally the way teamspeak works, except there is a port involved aswell (IP and port number)

Based on yesterday's little episode - I would like to see slightly more control on the Teamspeak server - I had my name and the phrase "looks like a tit" used in the same sentence by some chav sounding mofo who had no provication from any of us.

Zona, a brilliant and gifted css player, was also the target of this random chav abuse and can therefore testify to this, as can Sc00bs.

On a different note - god I love that word - Chav - it offends so many people when you call them it - so next time someone scally sounding gives you sh*t - call them a Chav and listen to them squirm - Muhuhahahahahaha

lol badboy  cant you just make friends insted of insulting everyone!!??

Bones: I know I really try but tbh I think it's my name - BaDBoY - it's easy for people to think I'm a naughty boy, when actually, quite the opposite is true :)

I just dont like being attacked without provication - but hey, doesnt everybody?

To answer your question - I find it's hard to make friends with someone who is just randomly shouting abuse at you down their new found microphone - wouldnt you agree?

Chavs? Should you really be friendly with the cap wearing, tracksuit clad rockport wearing little feckers? I think not. All chavs need a severe beating. Whether it be to teach them manners, dress sense, spelling or whatever.

Chavs need thrashing. And to all chavs reading this...... Yes, I mean you! Shoes do not go with tracksuit bottoms you little shites. Get some damn dress sense.

:that: i think Damn may have been intoxicated when he wrote that but he has a fair, funny and true point. They all need to go on that "what not to wear" program with those two women who dont know what to wear, and then have and english lesson.

Can we ban/block people/IPs from the TS server?

What a shame I even need to ask that.

no, only mcbain can ban, sc00by,helios, can kick people from the TS channel

Penguin
26-11-05, 09:38 AM
I think we need one or two more channel admins for teamspeak, and I think McB realises this. I think he said somewhere that he would deal with it when he got back.

Sc00by
26-11-05, 09:48 AM
Yeah and we some more people that can BAN!

Penguin
26-11-05, 10:01 AM
It's a shame there isn't a plugin that know's Chavs IPs and bans them automatically :(

Although, tbf, there are _a few_ nice chavs, not all are how damnit describes them (by not all, I mean 0.00001% are good chavs)

19-01-06, 04:19 PM
it wont work

19-01-06, 04:22 PM
What do you mean it wont work??? it doesn't help us that much when you just say that. What does it say?

195.78.82.68:8767 is the new TS server. Standard password lny2ts2. I am going to try getting vent running tomorrow but if you need VC use this I will be in to add channels if needed.
