22nd June 2002Our first event, held at Parmiter School Sports Hall, attended by 16 gamers.

20th July 2002Again in Watford, but this time in St. Mark's Church Hall. A spacious venue in a rather scenic setting, St. Marks provided us all we needed for a day of LAN gaming.

31st August 2002For our third event we made a return to the venue of our first, Parmiters, but set ourselves up in a different room. A smaller turn out than the first two events didn't stop those attending having a great day.

12th and 13th October 2002For our fourth event we headed into central London for a two day affair, meeting up with 21 gamers near Liverpool Street with thanks to Magman for hosting us.

7th December 2002Our fifth event of 2002 suffered from low numbers due to illness, christmas parties and exams. All the same, 11 gamers met up in Watford to frag away a cold December day.

18th January 2003Lanarchy's first charity event was a huge success. Lured by the chance of winning a Radeon 9000 Pro graphics card, 35 gamers attended the sixth event, held once again in St. Marks Church Hall, Watford.

7th December 2003Our second ever Sunday event was to be our first event held at a LAN shop. Harrow Arena was the chosen venue, well situated near transport and facilities. Nineteen gamers attended.

Well I finally got it finished :D A great walk down memory lane for me. Not so many people from the first few events still left now... Skavorn was at the first one, as ABCMoxon, but we don't see him about now. Mincemeat I guess is perhaps the longest standing LANner. Which was your first one Mince? I know you were at L4, the overnighter in Central London.

Oh yes...this brings back good memories. Yup L4 was my first (and one of the best).. wow. Time has gone so quickly. I have lost count of how many Lans I have been to.

Just to add: the best ever racing game I have had was at L4. Midtown madness with soo many people was simply amazing. :twisted: :lol:

One of the best sections of lanarchy for me is the Previous Events section.

I can take a look back in time at the great events and how the fun was captured at that moment... Well done to Mcbain for taking the trouble to take pictures and organise and post them online! :)
