Since when do you play Counter Strike?

I played it 5 years ago on a private Lan. it was CS 1.2 or 1.3. man that rocked!!

I've been playing it since before 1.6, although it was such a long time ago I cant rememeber what version it was. good old days though!

I loved the 747 map in cs1.3. That was one of the best times I have had at a CS Lan. It had many entry and exit points, hard to defend and hard to attack.

I wish they bring it back for source.

Aaah 747 that brings back memories.... yes a Source port for this map would be fantastic. All we can do is wait and hope..

I too loved 747, jumping in the roof entrance down the tunnel and pwning T's in the cabin areas, it was very Movie like!

Hmm, it was version 1 or 1.1 when I started. Man, I hated 747, that was one map I would never go near.

I actually miss siege though. It is without doubt one of the most biased maps ever, but hey, I enjoy a challenge. It was particularly fantastic when you could drive the APC right into the garage, while crouched, watching the ceiling tiles to guide you in at full speed. When you hit the SUV in the middle, the APC would vanish... you leap and start laying the smackdown :twisted:

In some respects, but when trying to storm assault, you have too many points that the T can shoot you from, making it even harder. Or the vent thing, where it can be almost impossible to take out the campers because you're moving so slow etc.

In siege, if you're half decent, you have half a chance. FB's and HE's can help you force your way in. Also the whole APC thing made it much more fun.

I actually started on TFC and moved across to CS after that god nows when but it was many years ago. I used to play TFC as much as I play CSS.

I have only started playing counter strike when the source engine came out because i didnt have a very good comp and i really liked it when i tried it at fiddy's :D

omg i started when the minimum requirements where Pentium 133, 24mb ram and 2X CD-ROM still have the games and in there cases lol, which was about 6 years ago

Half-Life Generation was the first PC game i got and aint looked back since aint as good as i was on 1.6 :(

I started playing CS back in the Beta stages, with maps like bunker, god it was ALONG time ago. Years and Years and Years i've played this, i also came over from TFC like Lestat, enjoyed the Beta of CS so much i rarely played TFC again.

Err I started playing it back in '99-was that 'beta 9' or something? Played it on my Celeron 333 with my Voodoo 3 card-those were the days!
'Airport' rocked but it also had bad memories for me as i remember playing online and I was the last CT left. I was in the plane heading towards the front and going through the curtains when a T was coming in and I didnt shoot fast enough to the disgust of all who were watching!! :P The shame and namecalling was intense-but therapy helped me through it-I think! :lol: What was the map where you fight in a market and you can shoot the chickens?
