What's your favourite movie theme? Both past and present.
('past' is pre 1970, 'present' is post 1970 just for this kinda forum question)
Mine would be:-
Past - The Great Escape
Present - Stuck between Star Wars, Indiana Jones or Pirates of the Caribbean....I'll go for the latter just to be different.
past - N/A (i dont know any)
present - Man on Fire/ the last samurai / 8 mile and many more :)

Past - Psycho (hitchcock's)
Present - Robocop.
Can't beat that rousing chorus at the end... it kicks so much ass.

Past - the Great escape obviously you just cant beat it, Its everywhere!
Present - Probably Star Wars there isn't many other themes around these days, although the music from layer cake is good ;)
Past - Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange, John Cleese's work
Present - Well this could be a really long list as i'm really into films but I'll keep it short as probably nobody reads this ;)
Feel good..- Beautiful Thing
Film noir...- Sin City
Drugs.......- Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas, Requiem for a Dream, Trainspotting
Sci-fi........- The Matrix, eXistenZ
Comedy...- Anything with John Cleese, Eddie Murphy or Jim Carrey

Isn't this thread about the music from the movie? Why would it matter which actor was in it?

oops sorry guys I didn't quite get it then, I just tought it is about te best pre- and post 70's movie

does it have to be movies? cause the theme from the A-Team rocks! :D
for Movies: (will mention some others havent yet)
Rocky, James Bond (each movies theme is different but the bond theme is the same)
Just watched a small bit of 'Flash Gordon' on ITV3 last night. Now there was some top music in that great film. I can't remember if that was pre 1970's or post...
