Problem with web access...

Hi guys,

i have my lan up and running, and the computers can join the same cs games etc... but for some reason this morning the other pc is getting an awful internet connection. Anyone got any ideas?

What OP SYS are you running on each comp?

Are you or have you shared the Internet connection?

Do you have ADSL or 56K

shared internet connection, adsl
comp 1 (connected to adsl modem) win 2000
comp 2 win XP

When you say aweful internet connection, what are we talking here?

Test both machines on www.Numion.com and let us know what they score.

Then, from machine 2, ping 192.168.0.1 and check they are next to zero pings.

Then from a commend prompt, try pinging 213.152.59.114 from both machines and let us know what they both average.

Maybe we can eliminate something and narrow down the problem.
