Having seen it in this months PC Zone, I've downloaded the Live for Speed (http://lfs.racesimcentral.com/) demo.

It's a racing simulation which at first attempt I found very hard. After a lap I started to be able to take bends without sliding of the road or going into an unrecoverable spin.

After two laps I was actually speeding (well, driving caredully through) chicanes (<-sp?) and such

You can design your own cars (check my Lanarchymobile in the above screenie of my replay) and number plate and then head online.

In the demo (41meg) (http://lfs.racesimcentral.com/content/full.php) you get just a couple of cars and 3 tracks, but the full download (140meg -

I'm guessing your not liking it because you're spending so much time on the gravel/grass? I still do too. Thats part of what I'm enjoying, this is much more of a racing simulation where as eRacer is more arcade style in comparison.

I'm up for more Re-Volt, we'll maybe give it a go at CoF 26?

Carmageddon.
The ONLY driving game worth playing at a LAN. It doesn't have the "glass walls" which seem to be present in all other driving games (except Midtown Madness, which I guess is OK) and there's nothing as funny as trying to overtake someone when you've just hit a "pinball mode" powerup. Or as exhilarating as racing through a minefield in "fox and hounds" mode with 7 people chasing you.

Obviously Carmageddon in this instance refers to the series, rather than just the original game.

I've downloaded this, I'll install it at some point and let you know... I've stil not installed NASCAR 2003 though :( And that I am looking forward too... (I bought it nearly a month ago IIRC  )

Thought I would give this a bump

I installed it again today and found I could race other people online with the demo, cool! :) I'ev found you tend to get nudged of the track quite a bit, its normally only when you right at the back and everyone else has gone that you get a chance to actually stay on the track

I did have one half decent race, I was 5th of 9 with maybe 4 corners left, got shunted from behind  but finished 6th still...
