Sounds like the length of HL2 :)
Took me about 6 hours to complete on hard

I think I'll be buying it - HL2 is one of the single players that I really like.

I have completed every FPS game I have started - except one - SWAT4 :(

During HL2 I was running around, in between killing n00b zombies, exploring every nook and cranny because I was amazed how awesome in game physics could be - Id never seen anything like it

I will be getting this game and I look forward to it

I played swat 4 at my mates and it is extremly hard. As for single player games i try to complete them before i move on to the multiplaer, as most SP action in are great. :D

SWAT4 is soo hard

Yeah - it was so difficult. I got to about the 7th level where it was so difficult to get any prisoners and I was killing them all

I really should try and finish HL2...

Ive bought it and completed it in under 4 hours

Its still the best fps around but the only thing that lets in down is how long it is.

If i rushed i could have completed it in under 2 hours :(

If youve completed hl2 then you know what i mean when i say at the end of hl2 E1 theres a cliffhanger

HL2 was soooooo exciting for me - I waited about 6 months to finally get it and built my entire rig with just that one game in mind.... CS:S came later. Never have I been excited about a game as I was with HL2... FEAR has been the only game to top that too...

I am gettin HL2 E1 simply because it's 11 quid (approx) and worth it - plus Ill want to play E2 and know what happened in E1. At the moment though I have hardly any time, and because I like to explore SP game rather than just beast it, it'll probably take me some time...

Au revior

I dont think it can be 'lent' as its done through your steam account.

Ye but you can also buy it from shops for

Which then gets attached to your steam account? Right?

yes - but there's nothing physical to stop you from lending a steam account to someone else (there is the legal side of the Steam Subscriber Agreement..or whatever Valve call it)

the question is - what kind of a strange person would lend Bob47, or anyone for this matter their steam account?

Who's he again?!?

Good game physics and graphics wise, but stinks of the final part of HL2 - tbh I got bored and played FEAR again instead...

I'm seriously considering going and finally finishing HL2 (I can't be that far from the end tbh) and then treating myself to Ep1. The downside is people saying it's only 4 hours of gameplay (so it'll take me nearer 12 ;) ) doesn't seem like a lot for 10 or 11 quid.

I know that people will say that it's only the same a 2 or 3 DVD rentals, but I think that they are overpriced too ;) Does it have ANY replayablity? BB (above) didn't seem hugely impressed, though CAD Media (http://www.cad-media.com/mediaitem.php?mid=38&c=pc) seem to think it is pretty good :?

money is an issue these days (with an Ellen in the house) so I really don't want to spend money on another* game that I'll never play

*BF2, COD2, etc...

I'm seriously considering going and finally finishing HL2

I only just startedit the other day, and i have played about 3 hours of it, can't even remember which bit im at now

But it was quite good, took a while to get started out though, although it was quite enjoy able, even without a gun in my hand.

Dont think i would ever purchase any of the HL episodes though, i would much rather play a online game.

Hl2: ep1 definately worth the money, not only is it an excellent carry on from the original, it is also physically beautiful and it also comes with hl:source and 2 other things.

In terms of replayability it has a commentary which is very interested to play wiht although i wouldnt recommend playing the game with commentary on first time through.

But i do wonder whats going to be in the next one as, if you've completed it as i have, will be wondering too no doubt.

I've heard that even with only 4 or 5 hours gameplay, they've stretched things out to make it last that long. Apparently at one point your asked to do something, then you have to do the exact same thing 4 more times. Lots of story line stuff to stretch it further, it sounds like there would only have been a couple of hours content otherwise
