... crosshair? Steady boys!

I use cl_crosshairscale 4000 with a res of 1650. However, I sometimes feel this hinders me because I always feel I need to be madly accurate, when we all know CSS htiboxes are rarely on a players actual body, unless they have been crouched in the same position for a few hours!

I am also asking about the colour you use. I cannot find the "perfect" setting for colour. On dust light ones disappear, on prodigy dark ones can. Therefore, having just written that statement, perhaps swapping them between maps is a good idea?

I use cl_crosshairscale 10000, it's so small I rarely see it - great for unscoped snipers :D the colour it's set to is green (translucent). And my resolution is 1680 x 1050 (widescreen).

**EDIT** I use cl_crosshairusealpha 1 and cl_crosshairalpha 800 (not that I know what this does)

almost the same as you badboy, with green non translucent. although atm i am not using my widescreen resolution as my graphics card would probably melt, :side: but usually i am using the WS setting and 4000 ish. maybe changing for different maps is a good plan (colour wise)

Mine is 3000 on a 1440x900 resolution, anything smaller and it's stupidly small, for me anyway

i just left my crosshair how it was to start with and i seem to be doing well so i will leave it

(also i dont know how to change it)

The commands i put in for my crosshair are; cl_crosshairusealpha 1, cl_crosshairalpha 999 (i think) and cl_crosshairscale 5000 which is basically a very small crosshair.

I used to play with 8000 which is the smallest you get but i've gone back to 1200 because its easier to see and aim with for me. I've got it solid green (cant remember if thats cl_crosshairusealpha 1 or not) and the reason for it being green is just that after playing around with all the colours for a year or more its mostly the easiest to see and finally my res is 800x600.

i jus play wit the standard small crosshair, the colour depends on map office-yellow and dust-red seems tobe wrkin 4 me cya all

Mines a solid green and very small i find its easier to shoot straight with a tiny crosshair. My res is 1280x1024
