Not much is changing though :( A few extra options during the play, which might make things a little complicated :?
Well as I never quite got round to buying Madden 2003 (always meant to...) I might get someone to treat me to this for Chistmas. though I have a feeling that this will be the game that will make me save up for a R9800  :!:
Apparently it selling quite well -
Electronic Arts' Madden NFL 2004 and NCAA Football 2004 are doing well, selling respectively two million units in three weeks and the latter close to one million units since launch in August. Collective sales results near three million units.
 I could always pick up a bunch of NCAA 2004 while I'm over in the states?

Now thats a GOOD idea :D Put me down for one won't you (and I do mean this)
It would appear the ESPN NFL Football is now the footballing title to own (http://www.gamespy.com/articles/september03/nflroundup/)...
Unfortunately it is apparently only available on the Xbox and PS2 :(

well i cant find anywhere that has it, seeing as i am getting into this whole NFL thing... so i'm gonna get Madden 2004, should do the trick.

On console or on PC? At one point I tried to get an online league going, we could possibly try again if there are 4, 5 or 6 people interested...
I suppose I could justify buying 2004 as the last one I bought was 2002. Or should we wait and I'll buy about 5 'NCAA 2004's (which apparently is better than Madden)?

getting the PS2 version altho i suppose i could switch it for a PC version.
The NCAA one sounds ok except for the fact that there are no real names only numbers... altho i wouldnt know anyone on that game so i suppose it wouldnt really matter anyways.
Yeah, but you can download the rosters easily enough.

Think of the advantage you'd have next year when all these players you don't know get drafted ;)

I've just tried the Madden 2004 demo and tbh, not all that impressed. It's quite nice looking and all, but I can't really seem much difference from 2003.

are there any management games out there?
I had FPS:Pro football and it rocked...that was about 10 years ago though
I downloaded one called Front Office Football 2002 and paid for the license ($25) but never really played it all that much in the end :?
I guess there probably are, just not for sale over here.

additionally i want one where i can randomly generate the players, not use real-life....
I think all the Madden series have been able to do this, thats no problem. You can make your own team names, your own league, even design your own kits too.

but the madden games are not "management sims" are they...?
Apparently 2004 has got a management part. You can become the owner of a team (there aren't managers in the NFL - Coaches and Owners) where you decide a variety of things, including if you want to relocate your team because profits are down etc.

Yeah a Management game, similar to CM4 would be cool.
especially if it has the British Senior League in there :)

Moi :)
A choice pick as bench-warmer.
and I probably wouldn't break the bank..
You've played in the British Senior League? Who for and when? We might have played against each other...or even with each other! :)

Senior:
Herts Stags, Chiltern Cheetahs and this year London Blitz (although this might be my last year unless i switch to coaching.)
College: Hull Uni
EDIT: As for playing with.. what happens in the shower room stays in the shower room.
OMG
Me, Wint and Briktopp played for the Chiltern Cheetahs this year! (I set a new team KR Yards in a season record and led the team in scoring ;) )
We played the Blitz in a preseason this year, I wore #15.
In the past I've also played for (in reverse order) London Mets, England, Leicester Panthers, Leicester Lemmings (Uni - whats years did you play at Hull?), Leicester Hurricanes Youth and Leicester Panthers Youth. Wint's list is much the same, as is Briktopps...
